ADULT EDUCATION

SENIORS DESERVE OUR ATTENTION

Since 2015, the Maribor Regional Museum has been implementing a special project SENIORS DESERVE OUR ATTENTION, intended for the elderly in retirement homes who are unable to visit the museum's collections and accompanying events. The project is based on lectures with presentations, chatting sessions on chosen topics and small temporary exhibitions, which rotate between three retirement homes (Sončni dom, DSO Tezno and Dom pod gorco).

The first cooperation within the project was established in May 2015 with the home Danica Vogrinec Pobrežje, when we organised a temporary archaeological exhibition "Millennia-Old Objects of Our Ancestors" as part of the DANICA 2015 events.
