In the Open Sculpture Depot, on the first floor of the castle bastion, Dr Valentina Bevc Varl will present the sculpture collection of the Maribor Regional Museum and will highlight the works in the permanent exhibition. Saša Dolinšek, Conservation and Restoration Consultant at the Restoration Centre of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, will present an example of a statue 𝐊𝐫𝐢ž𝐚𝐧i 𝐢𝐳 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐯. 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐚 𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐣𝐮 - Christ on the Cross. She will present the restoration procedures on the statue and the procedures for making replicas. On this occasion, the priest of the parish of St. Martin on Pohorje, Mr Dejan Frangež, will give a donation to the museum, a statue of the Crucified from the altar of St. Martin on Pohorje. The statue of the Crucified from the Church of St. Areh on Pohorje was made by the Baroque sculptor Jozef Holzinger.
