NEIGHBOURS OF THE OLDEST VINE
Guided experience at Lent on the occasion of the 40th Maribor Martini
On Saturday, we invite you to a unique guided experience through Lent, the oldest part of Maribor, where the “neighbours” - artists, craftsmen and thinkers working in the immediate vicinity of the oldest vine in the world - are still preserving the artisan tradition of Lent and co-creating its modern cultural pulse. Along the way, you will meet at least four artists - a potter from Pottery Centre, sommelja Dusan Kelbic, sculptor, fashion designer Tanjo Uvera and painter Alma Lovrenčič - listen to their stories and visit their studios.
The programme includes three guided tastings of selected wines from the Štajerska Slovenija wine-growing region, a visit to the Houses of the Old Vine, expert guided tours of Museum of the world's oldest vine and a tour Water Tower and Court Tower and Minorite Quarter. The event ends with a shared meal under the descendant of the oldest vine, which offers a special gastronomic experience.
Guided tours: in Slovenian (with the possibility of English interpretation by prior arrangement)
