The Blooming Path of Maria Auersperg Attems

Guest exhibition Volčji Potok Arboretum highlights the life and work of the painter Countess Maria Auersperg Attems (1816-1880). Her floral still lifes are not only a testament to her painterly perfection, but also reflect her keen sense of nature, her commitment to naturalism and her in-depth botanical knowledge, which she applied to the design of the gardens at Šrajbarsko Turno and Dornava.

The opening programme will feature performances by

Lia Belšak, vocal and Alja Klemenčič, guitar.

The content of the exhibition will be presented by its author and Director of the Volčji potok Arboretum, Mr. Matjaž Mastnak,

and the President of the Slovenian Rose Lovers' Association will lead us into the splendour of roses.

Breda Čopi, who will also open the exhibition.

The floral notes of the evening will be crowned by a special olfactory experience.
