BOOKS IN THE CASTLE CAFÉ

Maribor Regional Museum and Maribor Library cordially invite poetry lovers to a literary evening on Thursday, 6 February 2025, at 6 pm in the Castle Café at 1 Trg svobode.
In the book Behind the Edge of Language: an anthology of contemporary women poets from Maribor, edited by Dr Kristina Kočan, collected 24 women poets of the 20th and 21st centuries demonstrates the continuity of women's poetry in the Maribor area and in Slovenia.
The anthology was selected as one of the 100 best books of 2024 by Bukla.
The event will present their poetry Lidija Gačnik Gombač, Petra Kolmančič, Barbara Jurša and Tonja Jelenwho will reflect on the position and visibility of women poets then and now.
Women poets will also read their poetry.
