Opening of a temporary exhibition
MARIBOR PAINTER EDUARD LIND
on Monday, 2 December 2024, at 18.00
(Knight's Hall, entrance from Grajska Street 2)
The exhibition presents the contemporary portraits of Eduard Lind, a German-born portrait painter who worked in Maribor in the second half of the 19th century, through the paintings of church dignitaries, mayors,
deserving citizens, as well as other wealthy residents of the city.
Exhibition and scientific monograph
EDUARD LIND, PAINTER OF THE MARIBOR BOURGEOISIE (1827-1904),
which will be published on its occasion, are the result of several years of research work
Dr Valentina Bevc Varl, Curator of Art History at the Regional Museum Maribor.

The opening ceremony programme will include a performance by
Trio Risus Musicorum of the Maribor Conservatory of Music and Ballet.
The exhibition will be opened by the Mayor of the Municipality of Maribor, Mr. Aleksander Saša Arsenovič.
