Children travel 500 years into the past, to a time when Maribor was surrounded by a mighty, wide, and solid city wall. Through interpretative reading and comic-style illustrations, they experience the story of a brave little shoemaker who saved the city from the Turkish army.On a large puzzle of old Maribor, they learn to locate the most important buildings in the city center, discover the surrounding hills, and find the world's oldest vine on Lent. In the castle bastion, they climb the wooden gallery and relive how soldiers and townspeople defended the city.
Walking through the castle’s arcaded corridor, they realize just how magnificent the city walls once were.
