Children travel 500 years into the past, to a time when Maribor was surrounded by mighty, wide and strong walls. Through interpretive readings and comic images, they experience the story of the brave shoemaker who saved the city from the Turkish army. They learn to locate the most important buildings in the city centre, explore the nearby hills and discover the oldest vine in Lent on a large jigsaw puzzle of old Maribor. In the castle bastion, they climb a wooden bridge and relive how soldiers and townspeople defended the
our city. They walk through the castle's arcaded corridor and discover that the walls were once truly magnificent.

If you wish, you can take part in a subscription to six museum galleries, which you can choose from the eight on offer, or you can choose to visit an individual museum. The price of a single museum visit is € 3 per child and the price of a season ticket for six museum visits is € 15 per child. For groups of less than 10 people, the price of the programme is uniform and is € 30 for the whole group.
