Darinka Lozinsek, Šark, Round, 2020

I have been involved in the Inter-municipal Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired for 42 years as a person with partial vision. During this time I have been active in the association. I have mostly been involved in culture. I am also active in the Slovenian Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired. I was trained as a telephone administrator in a vocational school for the blind and visually impaired. I worked in large telephone exchanges in Maribor until I retired.

I read a lot and I also participate in projects at the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts, University of Maribor. There I work with mentors and students to prepare exhibitions adapted for the blind and visually impaired.

This year I joined a photography workshop where two mentors from the Ažmurk Institute introduced us to some of the basics of photography. I also write articles for the audio newspaper published by the Association of Societies of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
