We invite you to the opening of the exhibition of art works by primary school pupils, which will take place on Tuesday, 22 May 2018 at 11:00 in the Castle Bastion.
With the museum educational project Tatu, we join the exhibition Uniforms, which will open at the Maribor Regional Museum on 18 May 2018.
Since prehistoric times, people have decorated their bodies with paintings, tattoos and other techniques. Motives for body decoration were uniform within each group and could be used to determine group membership. In this way, they could be said to have uniformed themselves. Body adornment can be compared to the tattoos that are becoming increasingly popular today and which, with their extreme prevalence, lead to a kind of uniformity.
Primary school pupils were invited to create artworks with motifs that they thought could be used as tattoos or to depict tattoos of their idols.
