MARIBOR PAINTER EDUARD LIND
Public guided tour of the temporary exhibition
In the second half of the 19th century, when Maribor was experiencing a great economic and cultural boom, it was home to the Eduard Lind, painter of German roots. He established himself as a portraitist, he also painted sacred works and landscapes.
In the exhibition, through his photo-realistic portraits, we get to know the images and stories of the townspeople of the time and life in the town by the river Drava.
Maribo Regional Museumr, as the only Slovenian museum that preserves the works of Eduard Lind, opened an exhibition of his works on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the painter's death.
The exhibition will be guided by the author of the exhibition, Dr Valentina Bevc Varl.
