ROCKER OF IDEAS is a long-standing programme of the Maribor Regional Museum that invites artists to create and respond creatively to the museum's collection of historic furniture. The programme aims to connect the past with the present and to show the development potential of cultural heritage through the eyes of contemporary artists.

This year, we have invited writer, illustrator and storyteller Alenka Spacal.

In the rustic ambience of the Pohorje smokehouse, at the exhibition Between the Glamour and Misery of the Middle Ages at the Maribor Regional Museum, she will prepare an experience for children with the an interpretation of her fairy tale Little Beanie Belle Runs from the Bean Soup.

Zgodbo bodo otroci spoznali ob originalnih ilustracijah, s katerimi jih bo pisateljica nagovarjala k njihovi lastni kreativnosti.

Children can join the Fairy Tale Hour Saturday 16 December 2023 at 17.00 and during holidays, Wednesday 27 December and Thursday 28 December 2023 at 17.00 accompanied by an adult.

Prior registration at pedagogika-muzej@museum-mb.si is mandatory, due to limited places.

The illustrations will be on display from 7. 12. 2023 to 28. 12. 2023.
