Creative workshop
Outside the vegetable beds of our gardens, they thrive weeds and flowers, to add vitamins and energy to your daily meals. At culinary workshopsto be led by Meta Pivec, Assistant at the Botanical Garden of the University of Maribor, we will learn about useful seasonal plantsthat grow in our gardens. At the first meeting, which Karl Foester's gardening calendar, the famous German gardener, belongs to the cache, we will use edible weeds to prepare egg omelette and herbal tea.
Meta Pivec, Research Assistant at University of Maribor Botanical Garden, is a contributor on ornamental, new and unusual plants, who is fascinated by the versatility of plants. She is involved in promotional activities at the Botanic Garden, organises educational events, leads school and tourist groups and mentors students.
Workshops in the kitchen of the Maribor Regional Museum will take us through into the world of super plants. Outside the vegetable beds of our gardens, weeds and flowers thrive, providing aesthetic, vitamin and energy benefits to our daily meals. We will learn about plants seasonally in workshopsjust as they appear in the garden. By learning more about the useful plants that grow in our gardens, we can help to ease the family budget for buying food and food supplements.
