The Guardians of Heritage temporary exhibition, which we have set up to mark our anniversary, reveals the path the museum has taken from its beginnings as a group of enthusiastic heritage enthusiasts to a professional institution with a staff of experts. It presents the material of the 23 municipalities within which the museum operates, including objects which, because of their sensitivity, are rarely on display.

The public guided tour of the 120-year trail of the Maribor Regional Museum is part of the DEKD (European Cultural Heritage Days) and TKD (Cultural Heritage Week) programme.
