Between 1861 and 1890, Lind painted 54 works with sacral themes. His most important work is the altarpiece Christ on the Cross for the Evangelical Church in Maribor. For this piece, he charged the community only 50 gulden to cover the incurred costs, completing the work free of charge. The painting still hangs in the Evangelical Church today.
Lind also painted for various churches around Maribor, collaborated on the renovation of the frescoes in the Church of St. Barbara on Calvary hill, and created several works for other churches in the city: the Church of St. Magdalene, the Franciscan Basilica of Our Mother of Mercy and the Cathedral.
At the time of Lind’s arrival in Maribor, Anton Martin Slomšek held the position of the Prince-Bishop of Lavant. After Slomšek’s death, Lind painted nine portraits of him. While none of these portraits are known to us, based on the recorded measurements in Lind’s notebook and stylistic features, it is possible that Lind could be attributed the portraits of Slomšek held in the Regional Museum in Klagenfurt and the National Museum of Slovenia in Ljubljana.
Eduard Lind also painted a portrait of Slomšek's successor, Prince Bishop Jakob Maksimilijan Stepišnik, as well as a portrait of Prelate Augustin Duda for the Benedictine monastery of St. Paul in the Lavant Valley, where the painting remains to this day.
