In this year's FASHION MONTH AT THE MUSEUM, we want to focus the fashion narrative on the materials and talk about the cultural history of textiles in fashion over the last 200 years. With a general theme Materials in fashion we will present collections by established Slovenian fashion designers, companies and individuals involved in the production and use of natural materials, we will focus on modern textile materials at an expert consultation, and conclude the project as we do every year with young people - high school and university students who are studying design and textile materials.
The project will run from the 10th of May to the 10th of June 2021 in a virtual format.
FASHION MONTH AT THE MUSEUM is a traditional project in which we present a collection of clothing culture in a fresh and contemporary way. The project consists of a temporary exhibition and programmes for young people and adults, highlighting our clothing heritage as a source for re-creation and inspiration for contemporary creations.
